Like its lobster-focused older sibling, Fish Bar at North River Landing—which debuts this Sunday, May 1st—is a hybrid concept: part restaurant and bar, part mini-cruise ship. A 10,000-square-foot yacht houses a large, open air top deck, a bi-level interior restaurant space and multiple bars, all of which goes for mini jaunts into the Hudson throughout the day.
Unlike the more casual North River Lobster Company, which is more for hop-on, hop-off experiences, Fish Bar is a sit-down affair and offers reservations. On the menu, seafood-centric dishes including Plymouth Rock Oysters with a cornmeal crust and sriracha lime butter, Red Mullets with micro greens and garlic jus and a crudo version of Dover Sole. At the bars, 20 different craft beers, 26 types of champagne and “farm-to-cocktail” drinks featuring herbs grown on the roof of the vessel.
